Selenis Selcare HC 300 is an amorphous copolyester specifically developed to produce parts by injection moulding for medical device and diagnostic applications. The viscosity/ flow behaviour enables thin wall and intricate parts to thicker cross-sections where toughness is required.
This grade is manufactured to rigorous quality standards and meets the requirements of the highly regulated medical industry.
Selenis Selcare HC 300 has been evaluated, and is offered with, the industry specific regulatory declarations ISO 10993-1 (2017), USP ‘Class VI’, USP<661.1>.
Injection moulded parts made from Selenis Selcare HC 300 are water-clear and glossy, whilst tough and durable. Benefiting from high dimensional stability and toughness of Selenis Selcare HC 300 s eparate
components may be assembled with snap-fit connectors, maintaining the strength required to meet safety
requirements and sustain daily wear and tear.
The water clear color of Selenis Selcare HC 300 offers an excellent base to obtain both opaque colors and transparent ‘tints’ using compatible polyester masterbatch concentrates available from a number of suppliers. The resulting high depth of coloration offers the possibilities of both attractive designs and safe identification.
Selenis Selcare HC 300 can be sterilized with ethylene oxide, and by e-beam /gamma radiation with a standard dose of 25kGy whilst maintaining properties and without yellowing.
The
resin is easy to process and it is free of intentionally added BPA.
