Resinex RX 103
About this product
Overview:
RX 103 NATURAL is the same Dowlex NG2432.10UE, only the label on the bags is different.
When we use Dowlex NG2432UE or NG2432.10UE to make colours, black or special effects, the resulting product is named:
RX 103 "colour" xxxx (xxxx is a unique 4 digit number for that colour).
There are many versions of RX 103 available, Natural, Black, Colour compounds, Colour dry-blends, Special Effects, etc
Some grades have special approvals e.g. Natural and Black have WRAS potable water approval
Please check the documents to see which grade has what aproval.
Applications / Grade Selection:
As with all rotomoulding applications, segmentation by application type is far too specific since the range of grades is so limited.
We can divide the whole of the roto market into 3 segments:
- Large Tanks
- Specialities e.g. Boats and Kayaks, Flare Retardant, Conductives, Foamm etc
- Everything else
For large tanks, a typical tank grade should be used e.g. Dowlex NG2432UE or XZ89342.00
For everything else, either Dowlex 2629UE or Dowlex 2631UE should be used.
2629 has lower flow so will be tougher, and 2631 will allow more complex shapes to be moulded.
The starting point is also to counter-type what is currently being used.
Typical Datasheet Information:
RX 103 NATURAL Polyethylene Resin is designed for high performance rotational moulding applications and is suitable
for applications requiring stiffness in addition to good environmental stress cracking resistance and impact strength
combined with low warping and good processability.
RX 103 NATURAL is fully heat and UV stabilised resulting in a very wide processing latitude, good colour retention and
long life expectancy.
RX 103 NATURAL is approved by DIBT (Deutsches Institut Für Bautechnik) for use in tank applications (certificate №: Z40.25384).
RX 103 NATURAL is approved by WRAS / WRc for use in hot and cold drinking water applications upto 70ºC under
British Standards regulation BS6920 (certificate №: 0412516).
RX 103 NATURAL should comply with food contact regulations FDA regulation 177.1520(c)3.1a and with European EUDirective
