FRIANYL® Flame Retardant Polyamide Compounds

Celanese®'s FRIANYL® flame retardant PA6, PA66, and PPA compounds are designed for the electrical and electronics industries. These compounds meet stringent industry standards, with multiple grades being UL Listed and certified by VDE.

FRIANYL® Flame Retardant PA6 / PA66 Compounds

FRIANYL® flame retardant grades are available in various formulations:

• Halogen-free and red phosphorus-free

• With red phosphorus

• With halogens (free from antimony trioxide, PBB, and PBDE)

These compounds are offered in unfilled, mineral-filled, unreinforced, and glass fibre-reinforced options. Unfilled grades can be halogen-free or contain halogens, while glass fibre-reinforced grades are available with red phosphorus, halogens, or both. Additionally, they come in a wide range of colours. Over 80 grades are UL Listed or certified by VDE.

FRIANYL® XT Flame Retardant PPA Compounds

Developed for electrical and electronic applications with higher thermal requirements than PA66, FRIANYL® XT offers:

• High stiffness and strength at elevated temperatures

• High dimensional stability

• Excellent creep resistance

• Resistance to chemicals and hydrolysis

These compounds are available in halogen-free and red phosphorus-free formulations, as well as with halogens (free from PBB and PBDE).
