LIGHTER™ PET Resins

Equipolymers, a 50/50 joint venture between Dow Chemical and PIC from Kuwait, is a leading producer of LIGHTER™ PET Resins in Europe, serving the food packaging and blister packaging market. These polyethylene terephthalate polymers are produced from PTA and MEG as the major building blocks and are known for their rigidity, transparency, and high barrier properties, offering a lightweight alternative to glass and other materials.

LIGHTER™ C PET Resins

LIGHTER™ C PET Resins are specifically designed for the production of beverage, food, and other liquid containers, as well as thermoforming applications.

• LIGHTER™ C93 is suitable for both mineral water and carbonated soft drinks.

• All LIGHTER™ C resins are also recommended for the production of extruded films and sheets.

LIGHTER™ S PET Resins

LIGHTER™ S PET Resins provide enhanced infrared heating rates, improving the stretch blow moulding process by either increasing the maximum output or reducing reheat energy.

• LIGHTER™ S98 is particularly suitable for bottles for strongly carbonated soft drinks.

LIGHTER™ VIRIDIS 30

LIGHTER™ VIRIDIS 30 is a polyester polymer containing 30% chemically recycled content, designed to enhance sustainability while maintaining high performance.
