STYRON BUNA® SBR: Cold Polymerised Emulsion Styrene Butadiene Rubber (E-SBR)

General Info:
Trinseo BUNA® Styrene Butadiene Rubbers are produced at Trinseo’s world-class facility in Schkopau, Germany, ensuring exceptional consistency and quality. These multi-purpose emulsion SBR grades are used in various rubber industry sectors, including tyres, conveyor belts, vibration-damping systems, hoses, and mill and tank linings. Trinseo BUNA® SBRs offer a good balance of wear resistance and wet grip with high processability performance.
Portfolio:
- Trinseo BUNA® SBR-1500: Manufactured by cold polymerisation using a rosin acid soap, with a discolouring stabiliser. Excellent general-purpose rubber for all tyre and rubber industry sectors.
- Trinseo BUNA® SBR-1502: Manufactured by cold polymerisation using mixed rosin acid/fatty acid soaps, with a non-discolouring stabiliser. Ideal for light-coloured rubber articles, including food industry applications.
- Trinseo BUNA® SBR-1723: Manufactured by cold polymerisation using mixed rosin acid/fatty acid soaps, plasticised with 37.5 parts of TDAE oil (compliant with EU DIRECTIVE 2005/69/EC). Suitable for tyres and general rubber applications.
- Trinseo BUNA® SBR-1739: Manufactured by cold polymerisation using mixed rosin acid/fatty acid soaps, plasticised with 37.5 parts of TDAE oil (compliant with EU DIRECTIVE 2005/69/EC). Enhances grip and handling performance in tyres due to increased styrene content.
