Kynar Flex PVDF: Flexible Fluoropolymer by Arkema
Kynar Flex fluoropolymer (PVDF) shares the same impressive characteristics as the standard homopolymer and copolymer Kynar:
Extreme inertness: Resistant to harsh chemicals and environments
Flame and smoke properties: Excellent flame retardancy with low smoke generation
Weather resistance: Outstanding resistance to weathering and UV exposure
Ease of processing: Wide processing window with no specialised equipment needed
Durability: Excellent resistance to wear and mechanical stress
However, the main advantage of Kynar Flex PVDF is its flexibility. This makes it ideal for use in pipes and flexible tubing in the chemical and wire and cable industries. There are grades available that are suitable for extrusion, injection, and compression moulding of high-performance parts.
