DGDA-6318 BK is a high-density polyethylene jacket compound produced from resin made by the UNIPOL™ PE process. This compound provides easy processability, low shrinkage characteristics and a good balance of toughness, stress-cracking resistance, abrasion resistance, and weather resistance.
DGDA-6318 BK processes more easily and results in less post-extrusion jacket shrinkage than conventional high molecular-weight HDPE jackets. DGDA-6318 BK is suited for use as jacketing for fiber optic cables.
