Carbon black has established its position as the most widely used electrically conductive filler, offering a superior price-performance ratio and stable properties over time. Typically, carbon black compoundsā surface resistance ranges between 10Ā² ā¦ (100 ohms) and 10āµ ā¦ (100 kohms). Due to the nature of carbon black, reaching dissipative surface resistance levels above 10āµ ā¦ is challenging. However, Premix has successfully overcome this with special resistance control technology, offering static dissipative PRE-ELECĀ® compounds between 10āµ ā¦ and 10āø ā¦.
Boost Your Business with Electrically Conductive Concentrates
Carbon black concentrates are an excellent way to reduce raw material costs. In PRE-ELECĀ® concentrates, the carbon black content is optimised to the highest possible level. For maximum cost efficiency, recycled plastics or regrind from your own process can be used for dilution. This small yet innovative step can lead to significant cost savings. Besides the economic advantages, concentrates also allow the modification of product properties. Reinforced plastic can be used for dilution to impart stiffness and strength to the finished product. Flame retardant properties can also be modified by including a flame retardant masterbatch in the process.
PRE-ELECĀ® ESD Inherently Dissipative Polymer Compounds
Inherently dissipative polymers (IDP) are intended for applications where translucency, cleanliness, and non-sloughing properties are essential. Unlike traditional migrating antistatic compounds, PRE-ELECĀ® ESD compounds and masterbatches deliver permanent surface resistance levels from 10āø ā¦ to 10Ā¹Ā² ā¦, and their functionality is not dependent on humidity levels.
Fibre Compounds for High Stiffness and Non-Marking Products
When applications require high rigidity and/or non-marking material, carbon fibre is the solution. The glass-fibre-carbon black combination is also a cost-effective way to improve product stiffness.
