Brand Information
POLIFOR® PP - Dynamic Polypropylene Compounds
The Polifor® range includes both polypropylene homopolymer and copolymer compounds, modified, filled, reinforced, flame-retarded, enriched with additives, and coloured for various industries such as automotive, household appliances, interior design, illumination design, building, and leisure. Polypropylene compounds are the ideal solution for numerous applications requiring a good cost/performance ratio.
With over 6,000 formulations developed through ten years of R&D activity based on close cooperation with customers, Polifor® successfully meets major challenges in different application fields. All materials comply with RoHS norm requirements.
Polypropylene is the third most-widely used thermoplastic polymer globally. Its main features include high stiffness and abrasion resistance, low specific gravity, high impact and fatigue resistance, excellent resistance to chemical agents, low hygroscopic sensitivity, and easy processability. Its features can be modified through a wide range of fillers, reinforcing agents, and additives.
Polifor® PP can be used in various markets such as appliances, home goods, furniture, automotive, and industrial applications. The natural disadvantages of polypropylene, such as post-moulding shrinkage and low resistance to weathering or flames, can be easily overcome by using mineral fillers, glass fibres, and thermostabilising additives, which significantly improve its resistance to UV rays, fire, and aggressive lyes.
