High-Performance and Versatile Elastomers
Produced by Ravago, TPU Ravathane® is a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) block copolymer formed by the reaction of iso-cyanates and diols. These elastomers are available in both polyester-based and polyether-based variants, offering a wide range of properties suitable for diverse applications.
Key Features of TPU Ravathane®:
- Polyester-based hardness from 65 Shore A to 55 Shore D
- Polyether-based hardness from 95 Shore A to 65 Shore D
- Excellent abrasion resistance
- High elasticity
- High tensile and tear strength
- Oil resistance
- Excellent low-temperature properties
TPU Ravathane® can be used in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 80°C, with some grades capable of withstanding up to 120°C short-term. Polyether-based TPUs are particularly suited for applications requiring excellent hydrolysis and microbial resistance.
Typical Applications of TPU Ravathane®:
- Consumer: Shoe soles, phone cases
