Impet® PET: Polyethylene Terephthalate
Outstanding Physical Properties, Superior Thermal and Chemical Resistance
Impet® thermoplastic polyester (PET) resins, supplied by Celanese®, feature distinctive crystallisation characteristics that provide outstanding physical properties and superior thermal and chemical resistance. These resins are capable of supporting higher temperature exposure.
Product Properties: Impet® PET offers increased temperature performance without the cost of high-heat polymers. It is suitable for electrical components that require electrical properties at elevated temperatures. Under high stress and high temperature conditions, the component resists creep.

High heat-distortion temperature (HDT/A to 228°C)
Service temperature up to 150°C
Good low friction and wear-resistant properties

Bobbins, switches, sockets, terminal blocks, etc. (including Auto E&E)
Stove/oven knobs and handles
Custom-modified Impet® PET resins are available to meet the specific requirements of certain packaging and film applications.
