Trifilon Switch® is a family of plant fibre reinforced biocomposites made from starch-based aliphatic polyesters, commonly known as polylactic acid (PLA), derived from responsibly-grown sugarcane. All main ingredients in Switch come from agricultural products and are industrially compostable. This means Switch is a plastic that originates from plants and decomposes after use.
