Key Properties of Sicostirolo® PS Compounds:
- Economic solution for various applications
- Good impact and processability
- Suitable for applications requiring aesthetic properties
- Different properties balancing (flammability, stiffness, flowability, heat resistance)
Portfolio:
- Industrial Quality HIPS Grades: Available in black and white, offering good impact resistance and processability.
- Industrial Quality GPPS Grades: General purpose polystyrene suitable for various applications.
- Flame Retardant Prime Compounds: UL94: V-0 rated, suitable for applications requiring high fire safety standards.
Sicostirolo® 600 Series: HIPS resins V0 1.6 mm designed for injection moulding of a wide range of applications where aesthetic properties combined with good impact and processability are required. Depending on the composition, different properties can be balanced to meet application needs.
Processing:
For Sicostirolo® PS processing, the temperature settings of the injection moulding machine should be set at a uniform rate from 180°C to 260°C at the nozzle. Hot runners are not recommended for Sicostirolo® industrial quality grades.
