High density polyethylene (HDPE) resins from DOW® are incredibly versatile and dependable, ready to tackle new challenges. With options ranging from flexible and rigid packaging to heavy-duty tanks and pipelines, DOW™ HDPE Resins could be the solution you need.

Flexible Packaging

For high-output applications requiring toughness and barrier protection, DOW™ HDPE Resins deliver excellent performance in mono- or multi-layer structures. They offer great stiffness for efficient filling and shelf appeal, as well as resistance to abrasion, puncture, and other forms of abuse. Additionally, DOW™ HDPE serves as a barrier against moisture and atmospheric invasion, making it a valuable addition to many flexible packages.

Rigid Packaging

DOW® offers a range of HDPE resins for rigid packaging, including CONTINUUM™ and CONTINUUM™ HEALTH+ Bimodal Polyethylene Resins, DOW™ and DOW™ HEALTH+ HDPE Resins, DOWLEX™ IP HDPE Resins, EVERCAP™ Innovative Closure Resins, and UNIVAL™ HDPE Resins. These resins are formulated to meet specific needs, featuring various combinations of stiffness and toughness, impact and environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR), processability, and downgauging opportunities.

These HDPE resins can be used in blow-moulded bottles for products ranging from milk and pharmaceuticals to automotive fluids and agricultural chemicals. They are also suitable for injection-moulded containers like microwaveable food trays, dairy cups/tubs, storage bins, and paint buckets, as well as injection or compression-moulded caps, closures, and fitments.

Durable Goods

CONTINUUM™ Bimodal Polyethylene Resins and DOW™ HDPE Resins offer high levels of impact strength, rigidity, ESCR, and low-temperature performance, making them ideal for durable goods. Injection-moulded products such as toys, housewares, storage bins, crates, and pallets rely on these resins.

For rotational moulding applications, RESILITY™ Innovative Rotomolding Resins provide improved UV and weathering protection, bright whites/vibrant colours, and enhanced processability. These benefits make RESILITY™ resins suitable for toys, playground equipment, drums, chemical-resistant tanks, and other rotomoulded products.

Pipe Resins

DOW®'s lineup of HDPE pipe resins includes CONTINUUM™ Bimodal Polyethylene Resins and INTREPID™ Bimodal Polyethylene Resins. These resins offer improved service life, safety, and sustainability by producing durable, leak- and corrosion-resistant, flexible pipes. Applications such as natural gas, water distribution, and oil and gas benefit from the remarkable slow crack growth (SCG) and rapid crack propagation (RCP) resistance, pressure ratings, and operating temperature windows provided by these polymers.

In radiant floor heating pipes, BYNEL™ Adhesive Resins enable strong bonds between layers of DOWLEX™ 2344 PE-RT Resin and ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) polymer or aluminium composite.

Blow Moulding and Film Grades

DOW® High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Resins from the Dow Chemical Company (Dow) provide toughness, rigidity, and strength for blow moulding applications (DOW® HDPE 35060E, 40055E), extruded products, films (DOW® HDPE 53050E), and injection moulded items. Although DOW's Blow Moulding and Film grades (DOW HDPE 35060E, 40055E, SV32050E, and 53050E) were discontinued at the end of 2012 due to the closure of the HDPE plant in Tessenderlo, Belgium, RESINEX can offer alternatives based on an individual analysis of your applications and requirements. Injection Moulding Grades

For injection moulding, DOW® HDPE Resins (DOW® HDPE KS 10100UE, DOW® HDPE KT 10000UE, DOW® HDPE 25055E) offer both strength and processability – the two properties that every injection moulding processor desires but rarely achieves simultaneously. This advantage is available across a wide spectrum of end-use applications.
