Produced by DOW, ELVAX™ EVA Copolymer Resins offer versatile options for sealants in meat and dairy packaging, footwear, wire and cable insulation, and photovoltaic encapsulants and sheets. Additionally, ELVAX™ EVA serves as a PVC alternative in non-invasive medical tubing and bag applications.

ELVAX™ EVA can be used in various processing methods including:

• Blown or cast monolayer

• Coextruded films

• Blending with other resins

• Moulding or extruded liner seals inside plastic and metal bottle caps

These resins are an excellent choice for applications requiring low-temperature sealing, flexibility, and puncture resistance, making them ideal for food and medical packaging. This translates to energy savings, faster packaging speeds, fewer package failures, and reduced waste.

With VA content ranging from 7.5% to 33% and MFI from 0.35 to 43, ELVAX™ EVA includes tubular and autoclave grades, low gel grades, and additive grades containing slip and anti-block.

Increasing the level of Vinyl-Acetate in the ELVAX™ EVA polymer provides:
