SICOKLAR® Polycarbonate

SICOKLAR® Polycarbonate, produced by Ravago, is a range of PC compounds with excellent mechanical and thermal properties, meeting the most demanding needs of various industries such as electric and electronic, small appliances, lighting, and automotive. SICOKLAR® PC is available as prime compounds to provide the highest quality, as well as industrial compounds to offer economic solutions.

To cater to different needs, a range of SICOKLAR® grades have been developed, each optimising one or more key characteristics. These include:

• Flame retardant

• Food-contact

• Extrusion

• Glass-filled

The complete range of all prime SICOKLAR® PC grades is available on request in transparent and opaque colours.

Main SICOKLAR® Compounds:

• Sicoklar® E71/E81: Flame retardant PC resin available with MFI from 6 to 15, designed for injection moulding applications. These resins offer superior properties like impact resistance, heat resistance, and dimensional stability, making them suitable for markets such as electrical and electronics, and office equipment.

• Sicoklar® E58: Glass fibre filled polycarbonate resin available with GF content from 10% up to 30%, designed for injection moulding applications. Also available based on post-industrial raw material feedstock.

• Sicoklar® E01: General purpose polycarbonate resin available with Melt Flow Index from 10 to 35, designed for injection moulding applications. Also available as food contact approved resin (E21).

• Sicoklar® UG: General purpose industrial quality polycarbonate resin available with Melt Flow Index from 10 to 35, designed for injection moulding applications.

Portfolio:

• Standard Grades: Transparent polycarbonate resins that are easy to process in both injection and extrusion moulding. Available on request in opaque, opal, and transparent colours, and also in UV stabilised compounds.

• Flame-Retardant Grades: Suitable for applications requiring high standards of fire safety and flammability properties. Includes standard UL-listed V-0 grades and a halogen-free grade in response to changing environmental requirements.

• Glass Fibre Reinforced Grades: Offer high flexural modulus, excellent processing, good surface quality, high thermal stability, and low creep. Suitable for applications with high construction demands.

• Industrial Quality: A wide variety of industrial quality grades made from high-quality recycled PC resins. Available in black and grey colours.
