VELVEX™ Reinforced Elastomers from Trinseo Automotive are thermoplastics for premium automotive interiors.
Based on glass reinforcement elastomer technology, VELVEX™ Reinforced Elastomers deliver an unprecedented combination of very low gloss, outstanding scratch resistance, good processability, and high cost-efficiency for unpainted interiors. When combined with the right surface graining, VELVEX™ Elastomers provide improved haptic performance of the part’s surface, up to and including a soft-touch finish. These attributes create interior parts that exhibit luxurious textures, an extended surface durability, and high mass-flow rate (MFR) value.
Resins are available either fully compounded or as a self-coloring system, enabling up to 50% cost reduction through paint elimination.
