VELVEX™ Reinforced Elastomers: Luxurious, Durable Automotive Interiors
VELVEX™ Reinforced Elastomers from Trinseo Automotive are thermoplastics designed for premium automotive interiors. Based on glass reinforcement elastomer technology, VELVEX™ Elastomers offer a unique combination of very low gloss, outstanding scratch resistance, good processability, and high cost-efficiency for unpainted interiors. With the right surface graining, they provide improved haptic performance, including a soft-touch finish. These attributes create interior parts with luxurious textures, extended surface durability, and high mass-flow rate (MFR) value.
Resins are available either fully compounded or as a self-colouring system, enabling up to 50% cost reduction through paint elimination. VELVEX™ Elastomers meet the distinct requirements of aesthetics and technical performance at affordable costs in door panels and pockets, trims, or instrument panels.
