DOW Electrical & Telecommunications DFDK-6010 BK is a carbon black filled masterbatch and contains an ageing stabilizer. It is specifically designed to be compatible with Dow Polyethylene Resins for use as black telecom, power and fiber optic cables. To achieve 2.6 % carbon black in the finished jacket, DOW Electrical & Telecommunications DFDK-6010 BK should be incorporated at a level of 6.2 %.
With the recommended carbon black content DOW Electrical & Telecommunications DFDK-6010 BK provides excellent UV protection for telecom, power and fiber optic cables.

Processing:
DFDK-6010 BK carbon black masterbatch and the selected Dow Polyethylene Resin should be introduced to the extruder hopper uniformly in the correct ratio to ensure a consistent 2.6% carbon black throughout the final product. Use melt extrusion temperatures appropriate for the chosen base resin.
